Public Transit (Bus)
From Castro Valley, walk to the nearest bus stop on Castro Valley Boulevard. Take the AC Transit Bus Line 31 towards Hayward BART Station. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Hayward BART Station. From Hayward BART, board the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes. Disembark at the Embarcadero Station. From there, transfer to the Muni Metro's T Third Line towards Sunnydale. Ride for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the 4th and King station. Finally, take the Muni Bus 30 or 28 towards the Presidio. Get off at the Lincoln Boulevard stop. The San Francisco National Cemetery will be a short walk from there.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Castro Valley. Start at Castro Valley Boulevard and head west towards the Bay Trail. Follow the Bay Trail along the shoreline towards San Francisco. Once you reach the Golden Gate Bridge, continue towards the Presidio area. Follow the signs leading to the San Francisco National Cemetery. The ride is approximately 15 miles and can take around 1.5 hours depending on your pace.

If you're feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, you can head towards the nearest BART station on Castro Valley Boulevard. Walk towards the Hayward BART Station (about 2 miles). Once at the BART Station, board a train to San Francisco. After arriving at the Embarcadero Station, use the Muni Metro to reach the Presidio.
