Public Bus
From Chula Vista, head to the nearest bus stop for the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). You will want to catch the Route 701 bus towards downtown San Diego. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Broadway & 1st' stop. Here, transfer to Route 35, which will take you towards Point Loma. Ride the bus until you reach 'Cabrillo National Monument', which is a short walk from the bus stop. The entire trip should take about an hour.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental service in Chula Vista. You can take the Bayshore Bikeway which offers a scenic route along the bay. Follow the trail north until you reach the intersection with N Harbor Dr. Turn left onto N Harbor Dr and continue until you get to the entrance of Cabrillo National Monument. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.

Walking
For a walking option, you can take a combination of the trolley and a bus. Start by walking to the Chula Vista trolley station and board the Blue Line trolley towards San Diego. Get off at the 'San Diego Convention Center' stop. From there, walk to the nearby bus stop and catch Route 35 towards Point Loma. Get off at the 'Cabrillo National Monument' stop. This option will take around 2-2.5 hours, including walking and waiting times.
