Getting There

  • Ferry

    To reach the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park from Coronado, start by heading to the Coronado Ferry Landing. You can walk there from most locations in Coronado, following the signs towards the waterfront. Once at the Ferry Landing, purchase a ticket for the ferry to San Diego. The ferry departs frequently and will take you on a scenic ride across the bay. Upon arrival at the San Diego Broadway Pier, exit the ferry and head towards the nearby trolley station.

  • Trolley

    After disembarking from the ferry at Broadway Pier, walk to the nearest trolley station, which is just a few blocks away. Look for the Green Line trolley heading towards Santee. Board the trolley and ride for about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'City College' station. From there, transfer to the Blue Line trolley towards 'San Ysidro'. Stay on the trolley for a few more stops and get off at 'Little Italy'.

  • Bus

    Once you arrive at the Little Italy trolley station, exit the trolley and walk towards the bus stop for the #7 bus towards 'SDSU'. Board the bus and ride for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop for 'Balboa Park'. You will be very close to the Spanish Village Art Center. From the bus stop, walk into Balboa Park and follow the signs directing you to the Spanish Village Art Center, which is located at 1770 Village Pl.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from the bus stop, exit the bus and enter Balboa Park. Follow the path leading into the park, and you will find signs directing you to the Spanish Village Art Center. It's a lovely stroll through the park, and you can enjoy the beautiful gardens and sights along the way.
