    To reach Oak Canyon Nature Center from central Costa Mesa, head to the nearest bus stop where you can catch the OC Bus route 57. This bus travels towards the Anaheim area. Board the bus and travel for approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to get off at the stop for 'Walnut Canyon Rd at Eucalyptus Ave'. From there, walk east on Walnut Canyon Rd for about 15 minutes. The Oak Canyon Nature Center will be on your left at 6700 E Walnut Canyon Rd.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike rental shops in Costa Mesa. Start by heading northeast on Fairview Rd, then take a right onto 17th St. Continue on 17th St until you reach the Santa Ana River Trail. Follow the trail north until you reach the junction with Walnut Canyon Rd. Turn left onto Walnut Canyon Rd and continue for another 3 miles. The Oak Canyon Nature Center will be on your left at 6700 E Walnut Canyon Rd.

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the heart of Costa Mesa. Walk north on Newport Blvd until you reach 17th St, then turn left. Continue walking on 17th St until you reach the Santa Ana River Trail. You can follow this trail north for about 3 miles until you reach Walnut Canyon Rd. Turn left onto Walnut Canyon Rd and walk about another mile to reach Oak Canyon Nature Center at 6700 E Walnut Canyon Rd.
