Start at Hayward BART Station. Take the BART train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Embarcadero Station. Transfer to the Muni Metro light rail by following the signs for the Muni. Take the N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 9th Ave & Irving St stop. From there, walk north on 9th Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Golden Gate Park. The Japanese Tea Garden is located at 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr within the park.

From Hayward, take AC Transit Bus 46 towards Union City BART. Get off at the Hayward BART station. From Hayward BART, take BART towards Warm Springs/South Fremont. Change at the 12th St. Oakland City Center for the Fremont line. After that, switch to the Richmond line and get off at the 16th St. Mission station. Transfer to Muni Bus 43 towards the California & 20th Ave stop. Walk toward Golden Gate Park, and you'll find the Japanese Tea Garden at 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr.
