Public Transit
From Hayward BART Station, take the BART train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. Stay on the train for approximately 35 minutes until you arrive at the Balboa Park BART Station. Once you exit the station, transfer to the Muni Bus #29 (Bayview/Hunters Point). Board the bus and ride for about 10 stops, which should take roughly 20 minutes, until you reach the stop at Sloat Blvd & Upper Great Hwy. From there, the San Francisco Zoo will be a short walk away, just across the street.

If you are near Hayward City Center, head west on B Street toward Main Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the Hayward BART Station. From there, follow the Public Transit instructions to get to the San Francisco Zoo.
