    From Hayward, start by taking the BART train from the Hayward Station. Board a train heading towards the San Francisco/Daly City direction. Ride the train for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Montgomery Street Station in San Francisco. Once you arrive, exit the station and head towards the Market Street exit. From there, walk to the Powell Street BART Station and transfer to the Muni Metro. Take the N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach. After around 25 minutes, disembark at the California Street & 6th Avenue stop. From there, walk north on 6th Avenue until you reach Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, then turn right. Continue walking until you arrive at Shakespeare Garden, located at 335 Martin Luther King Jr Dr.

    You can also take the AC Transit bus from Hayward. Find the nearest bus stop for the AC Transit Route 22 and board the bus towards San Francisco. Ride for about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic, until you reach the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco. From the terminal, you can walk to the nearest Muni bus stop. Catch the 5-Fulton bus towards the Presidio and get off at the stop on California Street & 6th Avenue. From there, walk north on 6th Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, then turn right, and you will find Shakespeare Garden at 335 Martin Luther King Jr Dr.

    If you prefer to walk, you can start from a central location in Hayward, such as the Hayward City Hall. Head towards Mission Boulevard and walk north until you reach the BART station. From there, follow the public transit directions to get to Shakespeare Garden.
