Experience Joshua Tree National Park

Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Joshua Tree, walk east on Highway 62 (Twentynine Palms Highway). After about 1 mile, you will reach the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park on your left. Follow the signs to the entrance station.

  • Biking

    Start at the Joshua Tree Post Office. Head north on Park Boulevard for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Highway 62 (Twentynine Palms Highway) and continue for another 1 mile. The park entrance will be on your left. Remember to wear a helmet and stay safe on the road.

  • Public Transportation

    Take the 29 Palms Transit bus from the Joshua Tree bus stop. The bus will take you directly to the 29 Palms stop near the park entrance. From there, it’s about a 1-mile walk to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return times.
