    If you're in La Jolla, head to the nearest bus stop on La Jolla Blvd. Take the MTS Bus Route 30 heading south toward Downtown San Diego. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'Old Town Transit Center' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk: exit the transit center, head west on Taylor St, then turn right onto San Diego Ave. Continue walking for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Twiggs St, where the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park is located.

  • Bicycle

    For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in La Jolla. Start by heading south on the bike path along the coast until you reach Mission Boulevard. Turn left on Mission Blvd and continue to the intersection with Garnet Ave. Take a right onto Garnet Ave and then continue straight until you hit the I-5 overpass. Cross the bridge and follow the signs for Old Town. Once you reach Old Town, you can easily navigate to the park located at San Diego Ave and Twiggs St.

Head east on Coast Blvd toward the main road, then turn left onto Prospect St. Continue on Prospect St until you reach the intersection with Girard Ave, then turn right. Walk straight on Girard Ave until you reach the intersection with Torrey Pines Rd, where you will turn left. Follow Torrey Pines Rd south, which will lead you toward Old Town. After approximately 1.5 miles, turn right onto San Diego Ave, and you'll find the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park at the intersection with Twiggs St.
