Public Bus
From downtown Monterey, head to the nearest bus stop for the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) at Alvarado St & Del Monte Ave. Take Bus Line 1 towards Salinas. After about 25 minutes, get off at the stop at 'Marina City Center'. Once you exit, walk towards the intersection of Imjin Parkway and Reservation Rd. From there, catch Bus Line 21 towards Fort Ord. This bus will take you closer to Toro Creek Rd. You will need to disembark at the bus stop closest to Fort Ord National Monument, which is around a 10-minute walk from the nearest stop.

Start in downtown Monterey and head towards the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail. Follow the trail northwest along the coast. Continue on the trail until you reach the Marina State Beach area. At this point, you will need to navigate off the trail. Head towards Marina through local streets, following signs to the Fort Ord National Monument. The approximate biking distance is about 8 miles, and it should take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on your pace.

Start at the Monterey Wharf and head northeast on Del Monte Ave. Continue straight until you reach Imjin Parkway. Turn right onto Imjin Parkway and follow it until you reach the entrance of Fort Ord.
