From the center of Uptown Oakland, walk east on 40th Street towards Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and continue north until you reach 27th Street. Turn left onto 27th Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Harrison Street. Continue straight onto Harrison Street, which will lead you to Lake Merritt. Once you reach the lake, keep walking along the path until you arrive at Bellevue Avenue. The Gardens at Lake Merritt will be located at 666 Bellevue Ave, just off the path.

From Uptown Oakland, head to the nearest bus stop on Broadway. Take the AC Transit Bus #12 towards the Lake Merritt BART Station.
