Public Transit

Start at the Palo Alto Caltrain Station. Board a southbound Caltrain towards San Jose. Get off at the Mountain View Station. From Mountain View Station, walk to the bus stop on Castro St. and board the VTA Bus Line 32 towards Los Altos. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at El Monte Ave & Los Trancos Rd. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles northeast on Los Trancos Rd to reach the entrance of Los Trancos Open Space Preserve.
Bicycle

If you prefer to bike, start at Palo Alto, and head south on Middlefield Rd. Continue south until you reach the intersection with El Camino Real. Turn left onto El Camino Real, then take a right onto San Antonio Rd. Follow San Antonio Rd until you reach El Monte Ave. Turn left onto El Monte Ave and continue until you reach Los Trancos Rd. Turn right onto Los Trancos Rd and bike approximately 1 mile to the entrance of Los Trancos Open Space Preserve.
Walking

For those who wish to walk, start at the Palo Alto Town & Country Village. Head east on E. El Camino Real, then turn left onto El Monte Ave. Continue walking straight until you reach Los Trancos Rd. Turn right onto Los Trancos Rd and walk approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Los Trancos Open Space Preserve.
