To reach Main Quad using public transit, take the Caltrain from downtown Palo Alto to the California Avenue station. From California Avenue station, you can catch the Stanford Marguerite Shuttle (Line E) which will drop you off at the Stanford campus. Get off at the stop nearest to the Main Quad, and follow the signs towards the quad. This option is convenient and offers a chance to experience the local transit system.
