Getting There

• Public Transit (Muni)

  If you are near a Muni bus stop, take the 30, 47, or 8 bus lines towards Fisherman's Wharf. Get off at the 'Jefferson St & Powell St' stop. From there, walk west along Jefferson Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park Visitor Center at 499 Jefferson St.

• Walking

  If you are in the Fisherman's Wharf area, the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park Visitor Center is easily accessible by foot. Simply head towards Jefferson Street, and walk along it until you reach the Visitor Center located at 499 Jefferson St. It should take about 10 minutes depending on your starting point in Fisherman's Wharf.

• Cable Car

  If you are near the Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason cable car lines, hop on the cable car heading towards Fisherman's Wharf. Get off at the 'Beach St & Hyde St' stop. From there, walk southwest on Beach Street until you reach Jefferson Street, then turn left and walk for about 5 minutes to find the Visitor Center at 499 Jefferson St.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in the Fisherman's Wharf area. Head south on the Embarcadero bike path, then turn left onto Jefferson Street. Continue biking west until you reach the Visitor Center at 499 Jefferson St. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes.
