Getting There

  • Public Transport

    SFMOMA is easily accessible via public transportation. From the Montgomery St. BART station, walk a few blocks south. Many bus lines stop within a block of the museum at 3rd St. & Mission St., including the 8, 14, 15, 30, and 45. A single ride on Muni costs $3.00 cash or $2.85 with a Clipper card/MuniMobile. A day pass, good for unlimited rides on Muni buses, trains, and historic streetcars, is $5.70 via MuniMobile. Cable car fares are separate at $8 per ride.

    From Yerba Buena Gardens, head south on Third Street. SFMOMA will be on your left, at 151 Third Street. The main entrance is on Third Street. Note that from January 2024 to Summer 2024, the Howard Street entrance is closed.
