    From the Japanese Tea Garden, walk west along John F. Kennedy Drive. Turn left onto Stow Lake Drive and continue to the Blue Heron Lake Boathouse. From there, follow the path along the lake to either of the two bridges that connect to Strawberry Hill. There are no fees for accessing the island or bridges.

    Take the N Judah light rail or the 5 Fulton bus to Golden Gate Park. From the N Judah, exit at the stop near 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way, then walk north into the park and follow signs towards the Japanese Tea Garden and then Stow Lake. From the 5 Fulton, exit along the north side of the park and walk south towards Stow Lake. From either starting point, follow walking directions to Strawberry Hill. A single ride on Muni costs $3.00.
