Bus
From downtown San Mateo, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the SamTrans bus route 17 towards Pescadero. The bus will take you along Highway 1, providing scenic views. After approximately 40 minutes, get off at the Pigeon Point Light Station stop. From the bus stop, walk 0.5 miles down Pigeon Point Road to reach the park entrance.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in San Mateo. Head south on El Camino Real and then take the bike path towards Pescadero. Follow the signs for Highway 1, and enjoy the ride along the coast. The distance is about 20 miles, and it should take you around 1.5 hours. Once you reach Pigeon Point Road, turn left and continue for about 0.5 miles to reach the park entrance.

For the adventurous, you can walk to Pigeon Point Light Station from downtown San Mateo. Start at the San Mateo Caltrain Station and head south on 4th Avenue to El Camino Real. Continue walking south until you reach the intersection with Highway 1. Follow Highway 1 for approximately 10 miles, which will take around 3 hours. Once you reach Pigeon Point Road, turn right and walk another 0.5 miles to the park entrance.
