Getting There

  • Walking

    The Catalina Island Visitor Center is located on the Green Pleasure Pier in the heart of Avalon. From the Catalina Express ferry terminal or other points in Avalon, simply walk along Crescent Avenue towards the pier. The pier extends into Avalon Bay and is easily visible. The visitor center is located near the entrance of the pier.

  • Public Transport

    If arriving via the Catalina Express ferry, the COAST Avalon public transportation service offers on-demand rides within Avalon city limits. Download the 'Ride Circuit' app to request a ride to the Green Pleasure Pier. Fares start at $2 per rider. Alternatively, the Avalon Trolley operates on a fixed route with stops throughout town; purchase a per-ride or per-day pass from the driver (cash only).

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available at the Avalon ferry terminal and at the taxi stand on the corner of Crescent and Metropole Avenue. Request a taxi to the Green Pleasure Pier. A taxi ride within Avalon is a short trip with an estimated cost of $10-$15.
