Hiking
To reach Roaring River Falls on foot, start from the Lodgepole Visitor Center, located in the heart of Sequoia National Park. From the visitor center, head northwest on the main trail towards the General's Highway. After approximately 0.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with the Roaring River Falls trailhead. Take a right onto the Roaring River Falls trail, which is well-marked. The trail is about 1 mile long and is mostly flat, making it accessible for most visitors. Follow the trail as it winds through beautiful forested areas along the river. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will hear the sound of rushing water. Continue on the trail, and you will soon arrive at the stunning Roaring River Falls. Enjoy the breathtaking views and take plenty of photos!
Shuttle Bus
If you prefer to take the shuttle bus, begin at the Lodgepole Visitor Center. The Sequoia Shuttle operates during the summer months and offers a convenient way to travel around the park. Board the shuttle heading towards the 'Roaring River Falls' stop. The ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the Roaring River Falls stop, disembark and follow the short walking path to the falls, which is only a few minutes away. This option is great for those who want to minimize walking but still want to enjoy the natural beauty of the falls.
