    To reach the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art at 151 3rd St, San Francisco, take the BART train from Walnut Creek Station. Board a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. The ride will take approximately 35 minutes. Get off at the Montgomery St. station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the northeast on Montgomery St. for about 4 blocks until you reach 3rd St. Turn left onto 3rd St., and the museum will be on your right after a short walk.

  • Bus

    You can also take the County Connection bus #5 from Walnut Creek to the Pleasant Hill BART station. Once at Pleasant Hill BART, board a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. After about 35 minutes, get off at Montgomery St. station. Exit the station and walk northeast on Montgomery St. for about 4 blocks. Turn left on 3rd St., and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you find yourself near downtown Walnut Creek, you can explore the area on foot. Walk to the Walnut Creek BART station and board a train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After about 35 minutes and once you arrive at Montgomery St. station, exit and walk northeast on Montgomery St. for about 4 blocks. Turn left onto 3rd St., and you will see the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art on your right.
