Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Haliburton, take Highway 118 and head west towards Bracebridge. After approximately 30 kilometers, merge onto Highway 35 North. Continue on Highway 35 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the town of Dwight. Once in Dwight, turn onto Oxtongue Lake Road. The park entrance will be on your left at 1050 Oxtongue Lake Rd. There is no admission fee for parking, but please check for any updates regarding seasonal fees or parking permits.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Haliburton to Bracebridge. Once you arrive in Bracebridge, you will need to take a local taxi service or rideshare option to reach Oxtongue River - Ragged Falls Provincial Park. The park is approximately 30 kilometers from Bracebridge, so be prepared for a taxi fare that may vary. Ensure to arrange for a return trip or check local taxi services for availability.

• Biking

  For adventurous visitors, biking is an option if you enjoy cycling. Start your ride from Haliburton and take the same route as if you were driving, utilizing Highway 118 and Highway 35. Keep in mind, the distance is about 50 kilometers and will require a good level of fitness. Be sure to wear a helmet and carry water, as there are limited stops along the route.

• Walking/Hiking

  If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to walk or hike, you can access some trails leading into the park from Dwight. However, this option is only feasible for those who are in great shape, as it could take several hours to reach the park from the center of Dwight. Ensure you have adequate supplies and map out your trail prior to embarking on this adventure.
