Getting There

• Public Transit

  To reach The Esplanade Park in Pickering, take the GO Transit train from Union Station in downtown Toronto. Board the Lakeshore East line towards Oshawa. The train ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Disembark at the Pickering GO Station. From the Pickering GO Station, exit and walk to the bus terminal located adjacent to the station. Take Durham Region Transit bus route 101 towards 'Brock Road & Kingston Road.' Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop called 'The Esplanade.' From there, it's a short walk to the park entrance.

• Bus

  If you're in central Toronto, you can take the TTC bus route 95 from the Don Mills Subway Station. Ride the bus to the 'Scarborough Centre' and transfer to bus route 86 towards 'Brock Road.' Continue on route 86 until you reach the stop at 'The Esplanade.' The park is just a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can bike from downtown Toronto to The Esplanade Park. Start by heading east on the Lakeshore Boulevard bike path. Follow the path along the waterfront until you reach the Pickering area. This route is about 30 kilometers and will take approximately 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Pickering, follow local bike paths to navigate to 1 The Esplanade, where the park is located.

• Walking

  Walking from downtown Toronto to The Esplanade Park is quite a long journey, approximately 30 kilometers, and would take several hours. However, if you're feeling adventurous, you can walk along the waterfront trail east towards Pickering. This scenic route offers views of Lake Ontario and natural surroundings. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as this is a significant trek.
