Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Plaza de Armas in Coyhaique, head northeast onুস the main road towards Puerto Aysén (Ruta 240-CH). After approximately 5 km, look for a clearly marked dirt road on the left (north) side. This road leads to the reserve entrance, about 1.5 km further. The walk from the highway turnoff to the entrance takes about 30 minutes for those in decent physical condition. Note that the road is unpaved and can be challenging after rain.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Coyhaique. A taxi from the Plaza de Armas to the Reserva Nacional Coyhaique costs approximately CLP 5,000 - CLP 8,000. The journey takes around 10-15 minutes. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your trip.

  • Driving

    From Coyhaique, take Route 240-CH northeast towards Puerto Aysén. After about 5 km, turn left (north) onto the dirt road leading to the reserve entrance. The reserve is approximately 1.5 km from the highway. Parking is available at the entrance. Be aware that the dirt road can be rough, especially after rain, so drive carefully. Parking at the reserve is free.
