Getting There

    From Ancud, drive northwest on the main road, then take the W-20 and W-220 routes. Follow the signs for Puñihuil. The drive is approximately 27 km and takes about 40 minutes. Be aware that the road ends at the beach, and you may need to drive a short distance on the compacted sand to reach the parking area. Parking is available near the beach. There is no parking fee.

    Take a public bus from Ancud to Puñihuil. Buses leave regularly from the Ancud bus terminal. The bus trip takes approximately 1 hour. From the bus stop in Puñihuil, it is a short walk to the beach and boat tour operators. Bus fare is approximately 2,000 CLP.

    Once you arrive at Puñihuil beach, purchase a ticket for a boat tour to the Islotes de Puñihuil. Several operators offer tours, with departures every 20 minutes during peak season. The Islotes de Puñihuil Natural Monument, established in 1999, is a significant ecological site located 28 km southwest of Ancud on Chiloé Island. This natural monument consists of three small islets situated off the coast of the Puñihuil cove.
