Getting There

• Car

  If you are already in Futaleufú, driving to the Futaleufú River is straightforward. Start at the main square in Futaleufú, head east on Calle Manuel Rodriguez for about 1 kilometer. Continue straight as the road curves; you will see signs for 'Río Futaleufú' directing you to the river. After approximately 5 minutes of driving, you will arrive at the riverbank where you can find various access points to enjoy the stunning views and activities.

• Walking

  From the center of Futaleufú, you can easily walk to the Futaleufú River. Head east on Calle Manuel Rodriguez, which will take you directly towards the river. It's a pleasant walk of about 1 kilometer and should take around 15-20 minutes. As you walk, you can enjoy the local scenery and the fresh mountain air. Once you reach the riverbank, you will find several spots to relax and take in the breathtaking views.

• Bicycle

  For a more active approach, consider biking to the Futaleufú River. Rent a bicycle in Futaleufú if you don't have one. Start by heading east on Calle Manuel Rodriguez. The route is approximately 1 kilometer long and mostly flat, making it suitable for cyclists. The ride should take around 5-10 minutes, and you can stop along the way to take photos of the beautiful landscape. Upon reaching the river, you can find areas to park your bike and enjoy the surroundings.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, check for local buses or shuttles that operate in Futaleufú. These may vary based on the season, but often there are services that will take you closer to the river. You can ask for information at your accommodation or local tourist information centers. The fare is usually modest, around 1,000-2,000 CLP (Chilean Pesos) per person. Once dropped off near the river, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the best access points.
