Castlewood Canyon State Park is located near Franktown, Colorado, accessible via Highway 83. From Denver, take I-25 south to Castle Rock, then exit onto Founders Parkway (Highway 86). Head east on Highway 86 to Franktown, then turn south onto Highway 83. The park entrance is approximately 5 miles south on Highway 83. Parking is available at both the East and West entrances. A daily vehicle pass is required, costing $10-$12. Alternatively, a Colorado State Parks annual pass can be purchased for $29.

While there is no direct public transportation to Castlewood Canyon State Park, you can take public transportation to nearby Castle Rock and then take a taxi or rideshare service to the park. From Denver, take the bus or light rail to the Sky Ridge Station or Ridgegate Parkway Station. From there, a taxi or rideshare to the park will cost approximately $35-$50 and take 30-45 minutes. Consider the cost of the taxi/rideshare in addition to the daily park entrance fee of $10-$12.
