Getting There

    The Great Sand Dunes Visitor Center is located at 11999 CO-150, Mosca, CO 81146. From Alamosa, take US-160 east, then CO-150 north for approximately 15 miles to reach the park entrance and visitor center. From the north, near the town of Mosca, take County Road Lane 6N to CO State Highway 150, and drive north to the park. Entrance fees to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve are required. A 7-day vehicle pass costs $25, a motorcycle pass is $20, and an individual pass (for those walking or biking in) is $15. An annual park pass is available for $45. Parking at the visitor center and the main Dunes Parking Lot is included with your entrance pass.

The visitor center is open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
