Driving
The Georgetown Loop Railroad's Silver Plume Depot is located just off I-70. From Denver, take I-70 west to Exit 226 for Silver Plume. The depot is located a short distance from the exit. Parking is available near the Silver Plume Depot. Be aware that parking can be limited, especially during peak season. An alternative is to park at the Devil's Gate station in Georgetown and take the train roundtrip. There are no tolls on this immediate approach.

The Clear Creek Greenway Trail connects the Silver Plume Depot with the Georgetown Loop Overlook and the Devil's Gate Station in Georgetown. This offers a scenic option for reaching the railway, especially for those already in the area. From Silver Plume, it's a short walk to the Depot. From Georgetown, follow the trail west. Allow ample time, as the trail involves some elevation gain. There are no costs associated with walking.
