Public Bus
From downtown Bridgeport, head to the Bridgeport Transit Center located at 710 Water Street. Take the HART (Huntington Area Rapid Transit) bus route 3 towards Huntington, which will take you directly towards Huntington. Ensure you inform the driver that you need to get off at the closest stop to Prime Avenue. After about 30-40 minutes on the bus, disembark at the nearest stop to Prime Avenue. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes northeast on Prime Avenue to reach The Heckscher Museum of Art at 2 Prime Ave, Huntington, NY 11743.

Make your way to the Bridgeport train station located at 525 Water Street. Take the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Huntington station (the journey takes about 50 minutes). From Huntington station, you can either take a local taxi or use a rideshare service to reach The Heckscher Museum of Art at 2 Prime Ave, which is approximately 2 miles away and should take about 10 minutes by car.

If you are located near the Bridgeport Waterfront, you can enjoy a scenic walk. Start at Seaside Park and head north along the shoreline, enjoying the views. Continue walking until you reach the intersection of Park Avenue. Turn right onto Park Avenue and walk straight until you reach the Bridgeport Transit Center. From there, follow the public bus instructions or the train instructions to get to Huntington.
