Getting There

Train
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Train Station, which is located at 2 Railroad Avenue. You can walk there from most central locations in Greenwich. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for a New Haven Line train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. The train ride will take about 40 minutes. Disembark at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. After exiting the station, follow signs for the Metro-North Railroad to access the subway lines.

From Grand Central Terminal, take the 4, 5, 6, 7, or S train from the subway station located below the terminal. You will need to take the 4 or 5 train towards Brooklyn and transfer at 42nd Street - Brooklyn Bridge Station to take the 6 train towards Brooklyn Bridge. Get off at the 125th Street Station and walk towards the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, which is about a 20-minute walk from there.

Bus
From the Greenwich Train Station, you can also take a local bus. Look for the Connecticut Transit bus service that goes to the Port Chester area. Once you reach Port Chester, transfer to the Westchester County Bee-Line Bus System. Take Bus number 75 or 76 towards New York City. Once you arrive in Manhattan, get off at a stop near the East River and walk towards the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge.

Walking
If you are near central Greenwich, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the train station and continue your journey. Once at Grand Central, you can walk to the bridge via 42nd Street, then head north through East Harlem, which will take about an hour to reach the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge on foot. This is a longer option but allows you to see more of the city.
