Public Transport
To reach the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre via public transportation, take the B or C train to the 81st Street-Museum of Natural History station. Enter Central Park near 79th Street and Central Park West. Walk east, following signs for the Swedish Cottage. Alternatively, take the M10 or M79 bus to 81st Street and Central Park West. From there, walk into the park and follow the directions as above. A single subway or bus fare is $2.75.

From the west side, enter Central Park in front of the Museum of Natural History near 79th Street. Walk along the path to your left until you reach West Drive. Cross West Drive and turn left (northbound). Walk a short distance, and you will see the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre on your right. From the east side, enter Central Park at 5th Avenue and 79th Street. Walk straight ahead and underneath the small tunnel. After the tunnel keep walking straight. The Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre will be on your left. Allow extra time, as it doesn't have an exact address.

Ask your driver to take you to the entrance of Central Park at 79th Street and Central Park West. From there, follow the walking directions to the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre. A short taxi or rideshare trip from the Upper West Side to the entrance of Central Park will likely cost between $10 and $15. Be aware that traffic can add to the fare.
