Walking
From downtown Tenafly, the Nature Center is accessible by foot, though the final approach involves a walk along Hudson Avenue, which has a steep incline. From the intersection of Riveredge Road and Washington Street, head north on Riveredge Road, then turn left onto Hudson Avenue. Continue on Hudson Avenue for about 1 mile. The entrance to the Tenafly Nature Center will be on your left. Be prepared for a moderately strenuous uphill walk.

Public Transport
The closest bus stop to Tenafly Nature Center is at Montammy Drive, served by Rockland Coaches' Bus Line Nos. 9/9A/9T/9TA. From the bus stop, walk south on the shoulder of Route 9W, then turn right onto Hudson Avenue. Continue straight on Hudson Avenue to reach the Nature Center. The walk is less than 1 mile. A one-way bus fare is approximately $4-6.

Driving
From the Palisades Interstate Parkway, take Exit 1 or 2 and follow signs for Tenafly. Once in Tenafly, follow Hudson Avenue to the nature center. Limited parking is available along Hudson Avenue, but be prepared to walk on a steep incline. The Nature Center's parking lot is open Tuesday–Sunday 9am–5pm, unless staff is not available. Parking is also permitted on Hudson Avenue. Note that access to and from the parking lot may be unavailable during camp drop-off and pick-up times (8:45–9:15 AM and 3:00–3:30 PM). Parking fees are not charged.
