Start by heading to the Stamford Train Station located at 30 Station Place. From the station, take the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, exit the station and follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit. After exiting, walk west on 42nd Street until you reach 5th Avenue, then turn right and walk north until you reach 53rd Street. The Museum of Modern Art will be on your left at 11 W 53rd St.

Walk to the nearest bus stop at 5th Avenue and Main Street in Stamford. Take the Connecticut Transit bus # 10 towards New York City. The bus ride will take about 1 hour and drops you off at Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. From there, exit onto 42nd Street and walk east until you reach 5th Avenue, then turn left and walk north until you reach 53rd Street. The Museum of Modern Art will be on your left at 11 W 53rd St.
