The easiest way to reach Muri Beach from other parts of Rarotonga is by taking the local bus. Two bus routes circle the island: Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise. Both buses stop at Muri Beach. Simply wave down the bus along the main road. A single ride costs around NZ$3-12.

Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Rarotonga and offer a convenient way to reach Muri Beach. A taxi from the airport to Muri Beach will cost approximately NZ$40. Taxis can be found at the airport and in Avarua, or you can book in advance. Expect to pay around NZ$3 per kilometer.

Car/Scooter
If you have rented a car or scooter, Muri Beach is easily accessible by road. From Avarua, follow the main road east towards the southeastern coast of the island. The drive takes approximately 20 minutes. Parking is available near the beach, though it can be limited during peak season. Be aware that the speed limit is 30kmph in the Muri Beach area.
