Walking
From Avarua town center, head east on Ara Tapu Road. Walk along the road for approximately 2.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs directing towards Ngatangiia. As you approach the Ngatangiia District, you will notice the road veering slightly to the right. Continue straight until you reach Q73F+XG3, where Avana Harbour is located. The harbour is situated on the coast, and you can enjoy lovely views of the water as you approach.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the center of Avarua and ride east along Ara Tapu Road. The ride will take you approximately 10-15 minutes. Watch for traffic and follow the road as it curves towards the Ngatangiia District. You will eventually arrive at Q73F+XG3, where Avana Harbour is found. Parking for bicycles is available near the harbour.
Public Transport (Bus)
Take the local bus service from Avarua to Ngatangiia. Buses are usually available every 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Ngatangiia District. Once you arrive, walk for about 5 minutes towards the coast, and you will find Avana Harbour at Q73F+XG3. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips.
Taxi or Ride Sharing
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Avarua to Avana Harbour. Simply tell the driver to take you to Q73F+XG3 in the Ngatangiia District. The journey should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. If you use a ride-sharing service, enter the address into the app and request a ride to Avana Harbour.
