Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Avatiu, start walking along the coast road (Ara Tapu). Continue heading west towards Arorangi District. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will pass the Avatiu Harbour on your left. Keep walking along the road, enjoying the scenic views of the ocean on your right. Look for the sign that indicates the entrance to Are Tapu, which is just past the intersection with the main road leading to Arorangi. Ariki Adventures is located in Are Tapu, on your left side. The total walking distance is about 2.5 kilometers, which should take around 30-35 minutes.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Avatiu and head towards the coast road (Ara Tapu). Cycle west towards Arorangi District. You will pass by the Avatiu Harbour after about 1 kilometer. Continue along the coast for another 1-1.5 kilometers. Look for the entrance to Are Tapu, which will be on your left just after the intersection with the road leading to Arorangi. Ariki Adventures is located in this area. The total cycling distance is approximately 2.5 kilometers, and it should take around 10-15 minutes.

• Public Transport

  From the main area in Avatiu, catch a local bus heading towards Arorangi. The bus stop is located near the Avatiu Harbour. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Are Tapu. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive, look for the Ariki Adventures sign, which will be towards the left side of the road. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the service may vary.
