Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Avarua, the main town, take either the Clockwise or Anti-Clockwise bus towards Muri Beach. The bus fare is NZ$5 for a one-way trip. Get off at the Muri Beach stop and walk along the beach access road to find the Rarotonga Sailing Club. Buses run hourly from 7 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the service is limited.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from Avarua to the Rarotonga Sailing Club. A taxi ride will cost approximately NZ$40 from the airport. From Avarua, expect to pay around NZ$15-20. Taxis can be booked by calling a local taxi service. H-K Taxi is located in Muri Beach. Minimum day fare is NZ$10 and night fare is NZ$15.

    If you are already near Muri Beach, walk along the Muri Village Beach Access Road. The Rarotonga Sailing Club is located along this road and is easily accessible on foot. Muri Beach provides free parking at the entrance, although spaces are limited.
