Walking
The Te Rua Manga trailhead is accessible from Avarua. From the roundabout near Avatiu Harbour, head inland on Avatiu Road. Continue onto Uruau Drive. At the end of the road, park your car and begin the walk up the path. The trail crosses a small stream and passes a large boulder before the steep climb begins. Follow the orange triangle track markers. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for the round trip. There are no entrance fees or mandatory costs associated with hiking Te Rua Manga.

Public Transport
To reach the Te Rua Manga trailhead via public transport, take the clockwise or anti-clockwise bus from Avarua towards the center of the island. Disembark near the Avatiu Valley Road. From the main road, walk inland along Avatiu Road/Uruau Drive for approximately 10-15 minutes to reach the trailhead. The bus fare is approximately NZD 5 per ride. Buses operate frequently, but services are limited on Sundays. Check the bus schedule for the most up-to-date information.
