Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Muri Beach, walk south along the main road (Ara Tapu) for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Takitumu District. Continue until you reach the intersection of Ara Tapu and the road leading to the Tikioki Tapere area. Turn left onto the Tikioki road and continue walking for about 300 meters. Fruits of Rarotonga will be on your right-hand side, just before reaching the local market. There are no entrance fees to access the market.

    From Avarua, take either the Clockwise or Anti-Clockwise bus. Both buses service the entire island. The bus fare is NZ$5 for a single ride or NZ$8 for a round trip. Inform the driver that you're heading to Fruits of Rarotonga in Tikioki. The bus will take you along Ara Tapu, and you should get off at the Tikioki stop. From there, it's a short walk (approximately 300 meters) to the location, which will be on your right-hand side.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available throughout Rarotonga. Pre-booking is recommended. A taxi from Muri to Fruits of Rarotonga will cost approximately NZ$10-NZ$20. From Avarua, expect to pay around NZ$15. Ensure the driver knows you want to go to Fruits of Rarotonga in the Tikioki Tapere. There are no additional fees to enter the market.
