Getting there

Public Transport

From Avarua, board a bus heading towards the 'Nikao' route. The bus ride takes about 15-20 minutes. The bus fare is around 5 NZD. Ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach Nikao Beach.

Taxi

Taxis are available from anywhere in Rarotonga. A taxi from Avarua to Nikao Beach will cost approximately 15 NZD per person. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

Walking

From the Rarotonga airport, exit the airport and turn left onto the main road (Ara Tapu). Walk along the road for approximately 3.5 kilometers until you reach Nikao Beach. The walk should take approximately 45 minutes. There are no costs involved.
