Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the entrance of Cahuita National Park. Head south on Route 36 (also known as the Costanera Sur). Continue on this road for approximately 5.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the roadside signs indicating 'Costa Azul Lodge'. You will need to turn off the main road at the sign and follow the dirt road for about 200 meters until you reach the lodge. There is parking available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Costa Azul Lodge via public transportation, take a bus from Cahuita to Puerto Viejo. Buses run frequently along the main road. Once you reach Puerto Viejo, you can take a local taxi or another bus heading back towards Cahuita. Inform the driver or the taxi operator that you want to stop at Costa Azul Lodge. The fare for the bus is usually around 500-600 Colones ($1 USD), while a taxi ride may cost around 2,500-3,500 Colones ($5-7 USD).
