From Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, taxis are readily available. A taxi ride to Costa Azul Lodge, located about halfway to Cahuita, will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Expect to pay around $30-$40. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

The local bus from Puerto Viejo to Cahuita stops near Costa Azul Lodge. The bus runs frequently, approximately every hour. The fare is around $1-$3. Ask the driver to let you off at the entrance road to the lodge. From there, it's a short walk to the property.

Driving
If driving from Puerto Viejo, take Route 36 towards Cahuita. Costa Azul Lodge is located approximately 1 kilometer before Cahuita. Look for signs for the lodge on the right-hand side of the road. Parking is available at the lodge. Be aware that parking in the center of Puerto Viejo can be challenging.
