Driving
From San José, take the Inter-American Highway South (Route 2) towards Pérez Zeledón. Albergue Mirador de Quetzales is located near kilometer 70 on the Carretera Interamericana Sur. The lodge is approximately 6 kilometers from the entrance to San Gerardo de Dota and Los Quetzales National Park. Be prepared for mountain driving conditions. Parking is available at the lodge.

Public Transport
Several bus lines connect San José to San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón. From San Isidro, you can take a taxi or local bus to Albergue Mirador de Quetzales. The bus will drop you off on the Inter-American Highway, from where you may need to walk or take a short taxi ride to the lodge. Bus fares from San José to San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón range from $8 to $12 USD. A taxi from the highway to the lodge will cost approximately $5 - $10 USD.
