From San Jose, take Route 2 (Interamericana) towards Cartago. Continue for about 25 km until you reach the exit for Cartago. Merge onto Route 10 towards Turrialba. Drive through the towns of Taras and La Suiza. After approximately 10 km, look for signs directing you to Pejibaye. Turn left onto the road leading to Pejibaye District. Follow the signs for Wildlife Refuge La Marta, which is about 5 km further. The refuge is located at coordinates Q8P5+CFW.

From San Jose, take a direct bus from the Terminal 7-10 to Turrialba. The bus ride takes around 2 hours. Once you arrive in Turrialba, look for local buses or taxis heading to Pejibaye.
