If you are in the center of Monteverde, start by walking towards the main road, Ruta 606. From there, look for a bus stop or ask locals for directions to Tilarán, as El Tigre Waterfalls is located in the Tilarán area. You can take a local bus heading towards Tilarán. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tilarán bus terminal, exit the bus and head towards the main road. Follow the signs for Los Olivos, which is about a 15-minute walk from the terminal. Keep an eye out for any local signs or ask locals for directions to Unnamed Road, where El Tigre Waterfalls is located. Upon reaching Unnamed Road, you will find the entrance to El Tigre Waterfalls.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Monteverde to El Tigre Waterfalls. To do this, head to any of the local taxi stands in the main area of Monteverde. Inform the driver that you want to go to El Tigre Waterfalls in Los Olivos, Tilarán. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ensure that you agree on a fare before starting your journey, as taxi fares are not metered in Costa Rica.
