Getting There

Walking
Start at the central park in La Fortuna, known as Parque Central. From the park, head northwest on Calle 1 until you reach the intersection with Avenida 3. Turn left onto Avenida 3 and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the bus terminal, Terminal de Buses La Fortuna. From there, take a bus heading towards Abangares. The bus will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Abangares, disembark at the closest stop to Iglesia de Cañitas. From the church, walk 400 meters south to reach Café Monteverde.

From La Fortuna, make your way to the bus terminal located near the central park. Look for the buses that head towards Abangares or Cañitas. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk. The bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Abangares, ask the driver or locals for directions to Iglesia de Cañitas. After reaching the church, walk 400 meters south to your destination at Café Monteverde.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from La Fortuna. You can find taxis near the central park. Inform the driver that you want to go to Café Monteverde, located 400 meters south of Iglesia de Cañitas in Abangares. The taxi ride should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
