Car
If you're traveling by car, head to the town of Heredia. From San José, take Route 32 towards Limón. After about 12 km, take the exit toward Heredia. Follow the signs for Heredia and merge onto Route 110. Continue on Route 110 until you reach C. Toño Mora. Turn onto C. Toño Mora and drive until you see the entrance to Reserva Privada El Quetzal on your left. Ensure you have a GPS or map application as some roads can be tricky.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from San José to Heredia. Buses to Heredia depart frequently from the Terminal de Buses de San José. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Heredia, you can catch a local taxi or ride-share service (like Uber) to C. Toño Mora. The taxi ride should take about 15 minutes and cost roughly CRC 3,000 to CRC 4,000. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Reserva Privada El Quetzal.

If you're already in the North Zone, you can drive to Heredia, then park your car in a safe area where public access is allowed. From there, take a short walk along C.
