Car
If you are driving to Pokonji Dol Lighthouse, start your journey from the city of Split. Take the D8 coastal road (also known as the Adriatic Highway) south towards the town of Omiš. Continue along the coast for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Makarska. From Makarska, follow the signs for the ferry terminal and board a ferry heading to the island of Hvar. The ferry ride typically takes around 1 hour and costs approximately 100 HRK per person. Once you arrive at Hvar Town, continue driving towards the village of Dol. Follow the road signs to Dol, and then look for signs to Pokonji Dol Lighthouse, which is located on the southern coast of the island. There is a small parking area near the lighthouse.

To reach Pokonji Dol Lighthouse using public transportation, begin your journey in Split. Take a bus from Split to Hvar Town; buses run frequently and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, costing around 80 HRK. Upon arriving at Hvar Town, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and board a ferry to the island of Hvar (if not arriving directly by bus). Once in Hvar Town, you can take a local taxi or public bus to the village of Dol, which is a short drive away. From Dol, you can reach Pokonji Dol Lighthouse by walking approximately 30 minutes along the coastal path. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the walk involves some uneven terrain.
