Getting There

Walking
From the main entrance of Maksimir Park, walk straight along the main path for about 10 minutes. You will pass by several beautiful ponds and trees. Keep following the signs that direct you toward the upper part of the park. As you continue, you will reach a fork in the path; take the left path. This will lead you to a more elevated area. After about 5 more minutes, you will see a small hill on your right side which is Sokolska mogila. It's a historical monument that stands out in this part of the park.

If you are in a different part of Maksimir Park and prefer to take public transport, head to the nearest tram station located at the edge of the park. You can take tram number 11 towards 'Borongaj'. After 3 stops, get off at 'Maksimir' station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk back into the park. Enter the park and follow the directions above to reach Sokolska mogila.
