Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, navigate to the center of Prague. Use the main routes leading to Prague 1. Once you reach the city center, look for signs directing you to the Vltava River. Slovanský ostrov is located on an island in the river, just south of the National Theatre. Parking in the vicinity can be challenging and costly, so consider using a parking garage like 'Parkoviště Národní' located at Národní 25, 110 00 Prague.

• Public Transportation - Metro

  Take the Prague Metro Lines. The nearest station to Slovanský ostrov is 'Narodni Trida' on Line B. After exiting the train, follow the signs to the exit. Once outside, head towards the river, and you will see the island directly across the street. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to reach the entrance of Slovanský ostrov.

• Public Transportation - Tram

  If you prefer tram travel, you can take tram number 17 or 22 to the 'Národní třída' stop. Once you get off, you will need to walk a short distance towards the river (approximately 5 minutes) to reach Slovanský ostrov. Look for signs that lead you to the riverside.

• Walking

  For those already in the city center, walking to Slovanský ostrov can be a pleasant option. From the National Theatre, it is a short walk across the Jiráskův bridge. Once you are on the island, enjoy the scenic views of the Vltava River and the surrounding area.

• Bicycle

  If you are cycling, there are bike paths along the Vltava River. You can cycle along the riverbank and find your way to Slovanský ostrov. There are bike racks available on the island for you to secure your bicycle while you explore.
