Getting There

    From Newark, DE, take DE-896 North for approximately 2.6 miles. Turn right onto Hopkins Road and continue for 1 mile. Turn left onto Tweed's Mill Road, and the Nature Center entrance will be on your second left. Parking is available near the Nature Center. Park entrance fees are in effect from March 1 to November 30: $3 for Delaware residents and $6 for non-residents.

    From the Carpenter Recreation Area, follow the marked trails north towards the Chambers House Nature Center. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and offers scenic views of the creek and woodlands. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear for the trails. Note that park entrance fees may apply depending on the time of year: $3 for Delaware residents and $6 for non-residents.
